Here are tips that'll help you get the best out of your car

1. Change engine oil at regular intervals

Oil grade determines change intervals.

2. Always check coolant level

As the engine runs it generates a lot of heat which is dissipated through the cooling system .

3. Check the air filter

Constricted airflow cause incomplete combustion thus less fuel economy.

4. Fluid leakage

Check engine oil, coolant or transmission fluid leaks and have them fixed.

5. Don't run on low fuel

You don't want the risk of your car stalling. Fuel also helps in cooling the electric pump.

6. Check your running belts

If you notice cracks or a squeal (sound) when you start your engine, it's time to have your belt checked

7. Check engine light

Never ignore the check engine light. You will never know how serious it is until you get it checked.

8. Replace spark plugs

Regular maintenance due to accumulated soot over time will ensure a perfect combustion.

9. Don't over accelerate

Never accelerate beyond the red line at the rev counter. Engines are designed to perform better at lower revs thus better fuel economy.
